Privacy notice

Last updated 27 October 2026

This notice explains how Precious Chindongo ("I", "me") processes personal information collected through preciouschindongo.com, in line with South Africa's Protection of Personal Information Act (POPIA).

What I collect

When you subscribe, request a resource or unlock an article: your email address, the page you signed up from and the time. When you use the contact form: your name, email, optional company and your message. The server also processes your IP address briefly to prevent abuse (rate limiting); it is not stored with your submission.

Why and on what basis

To send the newsletter and resources you asked for (consent), to reply to enquiries (consent and legitimate interest) and to keep the site secure (legitimate interest). You can withdraw consent at any time by using the unsubscribe link in any email or by emailing [email protected].

Cookies

One strictly necessary cookie (pc_gate) remembers that you have unlocked subscriber articles. It contains a signed token, not your email address. No advertising or analytics cookies are set.

Who I share it with

Service providers that host the site and send email on my behalf (for example Railway for hosting, Cloudflare for DNS and email routing, and an email platform for the newsletter). I do not sell personal information. Some providers may process data outside South Africa under appropriate safeguards.

How long I keep it

Subscriber details are kept until you unsubscribe; enquiries for up to 24 months.

Your rights

You may ask to access, correct or delete your personal information, or object to processing, by emailing [email protected]. You may also lodge a complaint with the Information Regulator (South Africa) at inforegulator.org.za.
